MATTHEWS, NC - ApolloŽ Valves' new 4A Series backflow preventers feature a unique "captured spring" check module that makes service easier and requires less space for superior backflow protection. The result is a more compact design that lowers costs and allows the new valves to fit under smaller enclosures.
The 4A Series backflow preventer family consists of double check (DC) valves, reduced pressure zone (RP) valves and pressure vacuum breakers (PVBs). All three share the "captured spring" design and utilize interchangeable check valve modules in the same sizes, simplifying repair operations and helping contractors reduce parts inventory. Each check module can be accessed independently. Top-mounted test cocks further improve serviceability. The 4A's all-bronze body resists corrosion for long service life.
Apollo 4A DC, RP and PVB models are available in sizes ž-inch through 2 inches. Maximum working pressure for the 4A Series is 175 PSI; operating temperature range is 33° to 140°F.
