Telegartner Introduces a New Line of True 75 Ohm BNC Connectors Designed for HDTV Applications

Telegartner introduces a new line of true 75 Ohm BNC Connectors designed
for HDTV applications. There are five different BNC straight crimp plugs in
this new series, each of which is specifically designed to accept a specific
Belden broadcast cable. The higher transmission data rates required for
HDTV (25 Mbit/s per channel compared to 4 or 5 Mbit/s per channel for
analog systems) necessitate RF connectors with significantly improved 75
Ohm impedance matching. HDTV 25 Mbit/s per channel is equivalent to a
transmission line data rate of 1.485 Gbit/s. Connectors suitable for HDTV
must show excellent return loss values up to 3 GHz. Telegartner's new true
75 Ohm BNC connectors are ideally suited for HDTV due to their very broad
bandwidth capabilities.
