New Line of savEnrg BIO-based Phase Change Materials
RGEES, LLC is happy to introduce its new line of savENRG, bio-PCM products. Bio-based, phase change materials (PCMs) are organic materials, manufactured from 100% non-toxic, bio-based ingredients and exhibit large amounts of latent heat storage capability. PCMs retain its latent heat without any change in physical or chemical properties over thousands of cycles.
Offered temperatures are:
+37 degrees C
+46 degrees C
+48 degrees C
+53 degrees C.
Bio-based, PCM-OM37P has been designed for shipping live mammalian cells and incubation of mammalian cells at the optimal temperature. This product is available in 5" x 6" soft pouches and 12" x 10" x 1.5" HDPE flat bottles.
Bio-based, PCM-OM46P, PCM-OM48P and PCM-OM53P have been designed for industrial heat recovery and increasing the heat storage capacity of solar thermal systems. Incorporation of bio-based, PCMs in hot water storage tanks, increases its heat storage capacity in the range of +46 degrees C to +53 degrees C. Integrating PCMs into such systems reduces the risk of the tanks overheating and increases the solar panel, per square footage, BTU output. These phase change materials can be poured directly around the heat exchange tubes or by stacking 12" x 10" x 1.5" HDPE flat bottles in a horizontal tank. The product is non-corrosive, non-toxic and insoluble in water.
