B-Wheel Backward Curved Impeller minimizes noise.
December 5, 2013 -
Constructed of aluminum, Model LRHF-B features 7-blade design in which blade diameter is smaller than outside diameter of cover and support plate, allowing it to act as rotating outlet diffuser. Wheel geometry provides for impeller efficiencies up to 78% while reducing noise by up to 3 dBA. Designed for demanding air movement tasks, impeller comes in 250, 280, 315, 355, 400, 450, 500, 560, and 630 mm sizes for use with EC motors, AC external rotor motors, or standard IEC motors.

Rosenberg Receives Industry Recognition For Innovative Impeller That Boosts Efficiency And Reduces Noise
Rosenberg was honored recently with the announcement that the company's unique new high-efficiency B-Wheel backward curved impeller has received an HONORABLE MENTION in the Ventilation Category of the 2014 AHR Expo Innovation Awards Competition. The competition was judged by a panel of industry professionals selected for their knowledge and expertise in the HVACR industry.
The B-Wheel features a unique seven-blade design (instead of the standard eight) in which the blade diameter is smaller than the outside diameter of the cover and support plate, allowing it to act as a rotating outlet diffuser. This new wheel geometry provides for impeller efficiencies up to 78% while reducing noise by up to three dBA. It also increases airflow compared to standard impellers operating at the same speed.
Designated the LRHF-B, the new aluminum impeller is especially designed for demanding air-movement tasks with low noise and high efficiency requirements. The new “B-Wheel” design can increase efficiency by nearly six percent, depending on the application.
Sizes include 250 mm, 280 mm, 315 mm, 355 mm, 400 mm, 450 mm, 500 mm, 560 mm and 630 mm, for application with Rosenberg’s EC motors, AC external rotor motors or standard IEC motors. All Rosenberg fan motors are CE, UL and RoHS approved.
Rosenberg B-Wheel impellers feature all aluminum construction and robot-assisted welding. They are suitable for hygienic or outdoor applications without additional finishing or surface treatment.
With the enormous efficiency advantages of this new series of impellers, users can easily meet the values specified in the European Ecodesign Directive 2009/125/EC (ErP Directive).
The Rosenberg family of companies is headquartered in Künzelsau, Germany and employs more than 1,400 individuals worldwide. Rosenberg fans and blowers can be found in HVAC systems, as well as industrial and portable air conditioning; in air cooling for variable frequency drives (VFD), wind power generators and power converters, solar inverters, uninterruptable power supplies (UPS), transformers, heat sinks, fan coils, telecom racks and other industrial equipment; in air handling units and fan filter units (FFU); and in railway, marine, military and avionics equipment.
