Midwest SnipsŪ Introduces New Power Cutter(TM) Serrated Long Cut Aviation Snip

Sturgis, Michigan, August 1, 2006 -- Midwest Tool and Cutlery Company, a manufacturer of Made in USA aviation snips, tinner snips, specialty tools and HVAC/R sheet metal hand tools, has introduced a new serrated blade long cut aviation snip (Model # P6716AS). The Power Cutter(TM) snip features deep serrated blades that better hold the material being cut. The snip is ideal for home, shop and yard use for cutting of a wide variety of materials including: vinyl, rubber hose, screen, carpet and metal ducting.

The Power Cutter(TM) serrated long cut snip significantly outperforms competitive model long cut snips. Hot drop-forged blades, a feature of all Midwest SnipsŪ aviation snips, cut fully from pinch to point even on difficult to cut materials such as sheet metal and heavy weight industrial grade rubber and hose. Competitive long cut snips, such as those with stamped steel blades, typically spread or open when used on hard to cut materials, thus "rolling" the material instead of cutting it cleanly. The Power Cutter(TM) is also easy to use, featuring a 8:1 power ratio which makes cutting easy by reducing hand pressure needed to cut, and soft grips that comfort the users hand.
