Dynisco Displays Extrusion Products at Plastec West 2003

Hickory, NC (January, 2003) - Dynisco, LLC is displaying three auxiliary extrusion products at PlastecWest in Anaheim. The first is the Dynisco manual screen changer model EM-10. The EM series is a manually actuated, two cavity, discontinuous slide plate screen changer targeting extruder sizes from 3/4" to 4.5" diameters.

The EM series is the most economical means of filtration available, and allows operators to change from a dirty screen to a clean screen without having to disassemble equipment. The EM was designed using finite element modeling to ensure leak-free performance up to 10,000 psi. The EM's bolt through design makes it the shortest in the industry to minimize polymer inventory and residence time. "Customers benefit by decreasing the time it takes to change a dirty screen pack; thereby, increasing productivity", says Kevin Tuttle, Director of Marketing. A simple three-position handle allows screen changes to be made from either side of the extruder, and by simply removing a breaker plate extruder screws can be pushed through the open slide plate cavity for easy removal.

Dynisco will also exhibit several sizes of the MSDP series extrusion melt pumps. Most notable will be the MSDP-050/006, which is a 0.1 cc/revolution pump designed specifically for medical extrusion processes.

The MSDP 050 and 090 series pumps improve polymer metering from the extruder to the die; thereby, improving product quality. A unique bearing and gear design provides unparalleled reliability and performance in these small capacity pumps. For processes requiring enhanced thermal and color dispersion, Dynisco will also display their line of static mixers.

"We recognize the market shift toward system integration and our customer's desire to partner with single source suppliers who offer more that just a piece of equipment. Our goal is to make their job easier by providing innovative, turn-key solutions." says Tuttle.

Beringer pelletizer die plates, cutter assemblies, knife blades, and various other parts will also be on display.

Dynisco, LLC is a worldwide leader providing pressure and temperature sensors and instruments for plastics processing and other industrial applications; polymer test systems for laboratory and in-process measurement; and gear pumps, screen changers, pelletizers, cleaning ovens and other auxiliary equipment for the plastics and process industries under the Dynisco and Beringer brand names.
