Eaton Corporation Introduces New Automatic Transfer Switch with Advanced Logic Control

PITTSBURGH, PA...Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation introduces a new Automatic Transfer Switch featuring an ATC-400 Logic Controller. The Cutler-Hammer ATH4/ATV4 is available in both open and enclosed designs for new installations, assemblies integration, OEM, and retrofit purposes. Available for wall mount applications up to 1000A in NEMA 1, 3R, and 12 enclosures, these new switches replace the solid-state ATHS/ATVS product previously offered by Eaton's Cutler-Hammer business.

The ATH4/ATV4 includes a multi-tap transformer panel as standard, which allows a single transfer switch to be applied on several different system voltages, eliminating the need to stock multiple units. Also featured are digital time delay functions, a plant exerciser clock, easily obtained overcurrent protection, and a two-line back lit LCD that is easy to read in bright light.

"The technology in the ATH4/ATV4 allows for a competitive package with more standard features than the competition," says Bill VanWormer, product line manager with the company's Cutler-Hammer business. "This product addition fills out our ATS controller offering and fits between our ATC-200 and ATC-600 (IQ Transfer) controller devices."

Integral overcurrent protection on normal and/or emergency applications is available as an option for the ATH4/ATV4. Additionally, it is available as service equipment rated, with or without ground fault protection.

Automatic Transfer Switch products are available through authorized Cutler-Hammer distributors. The Cutler-Hammer Power Quality Hotline, 1-800-809-2772, (Option 1, Sub Option 2) is available for help with any ATS questions.
