HAMILTON, OH (June 9, 2003) — The marketplace made its needs clear and Salvagnini has responded with the redesigned and re-engineered P4 Automatic Panel Bender System. The Salvagnini P4 is a fast, flexible, panel processing system that integrates universal tooling, proprietary production software and automated material handling capability into a single unit to produce the highest quality components of different geometric shapes.
The P4 is guided by Salvagnini's Advanced Bending Technology (ABT®), a package of control enhancements that enables the highest level of consistency and speed in forming both pre-painted and unpainted sheet metal panels. The same control package that operates the P4 and its material handling systems also automatically programs the 6-axis unloading robot that removes finished parts from exit conveyor and stacks them in a predetermined location. Once the product parameters have been input and the "Start" button pushed, the P4 becomes a virtual "hands-free" operation, which means not only increased production capacity, but also a much safer workplace.
