September 23, 2009 - Intended for medium-volume and irregular-shaped beam drilling, Atra Ace lets fabricators drill holes in steel for applications not suited by CNC beam drill line. Operators can bring drill to beam, eliminating material handling efforts, and 2 or more Atra Ace Automatics can be used simultaneously by one operator. There are 5 models, capable of producing holes up to 2 9/16 in. dia and offering cutting depths to 3 in., that integrate variable automatic feed with dual sensing controller.

Nitto Kohki's Atra Ace Automatic Drill is a Productive Solution for Medium Volume and Odd-Shaped Beam Drilling

Hanover Park, IL - A proven performance upgrade to manual models, Nitto Kohki's Atra Ace Automatic Drill is also a productive solution for medium-volume and irregular-shaped beam drilling. The Atra Ace enables fabricators to efficiently drill holes in steel in applications unsuitable for a CNC beam drill line. Savings are further achieved as the need for costly material handling is eliminated. The Atra Ace enables operators to bring the drill to the beam, rather than the beam to the drilling line for processing. Fabricators can visit www.nittokohki.com/tools/index.html and save even more with the Atra Ace during Nitto Kohki's Trade-In Special. For a limited time, Nitto Kohki is offering $600 worth of Nitto Kohki JetBroach Carbide Tip Cutters with the purchase of any Atra Ace Automatic Drill and a qualified drilling machine trade-in.
An efficient and cost-saving improvement over manual based drilling machines, one operator can use two or more Atra Ace Automatics simultaneously; positioning a unit to drill a hole while another unit is in the process of drilling a hole.

The Atra Ace Automatic is equipped with Variable Automatic Feed with a Dual Sensing Controller. The controller responds to both the drilling and feeding forces on the cutter and proportionally adjusts the Variable Automatic Feed System to ensure the optimal cutting conditions for every hole. This allows the Atra Ace Automatic to complete hole drilling in most any type of material, while using Jetbroach cutters as proficiently as possible. These highly innovative features also contribute to a greater hole throughput as well as longer machine life when compared to manual drilling machines.

Nitto Kohki's Atra Ace is ideal for steel fabricating and manufacturing, including drilling holes in straight or angular steel for bridges, both during assembly and on site work.

The Atra Ace automatic lineup consists of 5 models that produce holes up to 2-9/16" diameter and cutting depths reaching 3". All Atra Ace automatic drills include Nitto Kohki's patented One-Touch Cutter Replacement System along with a multitude of safety features like a feed/drill motor load monitoring system, power recovery interrupt protection, and an acceleration sensor to name a few.
