Automatic Docking Station calibrates portable gas detectors.May 22, 2008 -
Accommodating up to 10 XD single-gas detectors or combination of XD and X5 5-gas detector units, MicroDock II allows safety manager to manage calibration, bump testing, data logging, and recharging of detectors, all within one module. Field Manager software facilitates record keeping while storing and updating calibration data. MicroDock II operates via line power or set of 4 C-cell batteries. Additional self-contained docking modules can be added to system via plug-in connections.

Honeywell X Series Includes Single-Gas and Five-Gas Portable Gas Detectors and Docking Station; Tailor-Made for Crew Applications
Honeywell Analytics' new MicroDock II is an automatic "hands-free" calibration and functional bump test/datalogging station designed to serve the needs of an entire industrial crew. Up to ten XD detectors or a combination of XD and X5 (5-gas detector) units can be connected to the MicroDock II docking station, allowing the safety manager to manage calibration, bump testing, data-logging and recharging of up to six detectors (X5 only) -all within one module. Included Field Manager software simplifies record keeping, stores and updates calibration data. MicroDock II operates via line power or set of four C-cell batteries. Additional self-contained docking modules added to system via simple, plug-in connections - no external pressure transducers or gas lines necessary.
XD is a single gas detector with low parts per million detection capabilities of many toxic hazards and features a highly water resistant, IP66/67 rated housing, EMI/RFI resistance and built-in concussion-proof boot. X5 measures up to five gases simultaneously with advanced electrochemical sensors; an optional PID sensor detects 0-1000 parts per million concentrations of volatile organic compounds. Highly configurable, the X5 comes as a diffusion or pumped instrument, with either alkaline or NiMH rechargeable hot-swappable battery pack. The X5 is highly water resistant and has a rugged enclosure. It offers full function self-test of sensor, battery and circuit integrity, includes four alarm levels and multi-language support. An integral pump is an option for remote sampling. The X5 is smaller and over 50% lighter than competitive instruments.
With its UL, CUL and ATEX certifications, the X5 and XD can be used to monitor post fire sites, indoor air quality, leaking pipes, hazardous spills, underground storage tanks, confined space entry and many other industrial applications.
