Controlled by PLC, Behringer Eisele PSU 450M can be programmed to automatically replicate cuts in iron and steel based materials. Unit can store up to 10 numerically controlled program applications each with 3 sets, which can also be recalled. Utilizing blades with diameters from 13.7-17.7 in., saw cuts solid rounds up to 5.7 in. at 45° and 5.9 in. at 90°, squares up to 4.92 x 4.92 in. at 45° and 5.5 in. at 90°, and rectangles up to 7.09 x 1.97 in. at 45° and 8.6 x 2.76 in. at 90°.

New Automatic Circular Cold Saw
NEW AUTOMATIC CIRCULAR COLD SAW DESIGNED FOR SAFE AND EFFICIENT PRODUCTION CUTTING OF FERROUS MATERIALS
Morgantown, PA (May 6, 2009) - A new high-performance circular cold saw built to maximize production cutting of a variety of ferrous metals has been introduced by Behringer Saws, Inc. The new Behringer Eisele PSU 450M Circular Cold Saw can be programmed to automatically and accurately replicate cuts in iron and steel based materials to improve a company's operational cutting efficiencies while reducing labor and material costs.
Controlled by a programmable logic controller (PLC), the PSU 450M requires minimal operator intervention once running with the ability to store up to 10 numerically controlled program applications each with 3 sets, which can also be recalled to provide time and labor cost savings on future cuts. With each set, the number of pieces to cut, cutting length and one miter angle cut on each end of the finished material can be saved. Additionally, all movements can be performed manually.
The highly versatile PSU 450M Behringer Eisele Circular Cold Saw has a miter angle adjustment to cut materials at infinitely variable angles and has fixed stops at 45 and 90 degrees. The PSU450M can cut solid rounds up to 5.7" at 45 degrees and 5.9" at 90 degrees, squares up to 4.92" x 4.92" (45°) and 5.5" (90°) and rectangles up to 7.09" x 1.97" (45°) and 8.6" x 2.76" (90°). The saw can be set to cut at 28/56/112/224 SFM and can perform a single cut (semi-automatic) or single bar cuts (automatic) depending upon the operator's task. This new saw utilizes blades with diameters ranging from 13.7" to 17.7" and cuts efficiently through the toughest metals quickly and cleanly reducing the need for secondary post-cut operations.
The PSU 450M is also designed with a NC controlled linear guided gripper feed unit with adjustable clamping pressure, which is driven by a servomotor, ball screw spindle and encoder with a single stroke capacity of 58.25". Automatic material recognition occurs at the beginning and end of the bar.
For operator safety, the PSU 450M comes with large protective hoods with Plexiglas windows for good visibility and to prevent material or fluid dispersal. Limit switches on the machine shut down power to the saw blade when a hood is opened.
