New Autocorrelator for Ultrafast Laser Diagnostics at 1550 nm
San Diego, CA (April 17, 2006) - Del Mar Photonics, Inc. introduces the Reef-RT1550 Autocorrelator, a new autocorrelator designed for ultrafast laser diagnostics in the telecommunications band. The new product offers a unique combination of simplicity, versatility, and power range capabilities in an economic, self-contained platform.
The Reef-RT1550 gives customers the ability to measure laser pulse durations ranging from 20 femtoseconds to the picosecond regime. The Reef 1550 extends to reliably measure pulse widths from both low energy, high (MHz) repetition rate oscillators and high energy, low repetition rate amplifiers operating in the 1550 nm range.
The Reef-RT1550 is an ideal diagnostic accessory for the new Tamarack femtosecond fiber laser from Del Mar Photonics as well as traditional lasers and amplifiers, and Optical Parametric Amplifiers (OPAs) and Oscillators (OPOs).
The Reef-RT1550 is completely self-contained with no requirement for oscilloscopes or computers for operation. A compact control unit operates the autocorrelator head and the optional spectrometer through simple on-screen menus. Autocorrelation trace and spectrum can be displayed and analyzed on the screen, or downloaded to a remote computer. All controller settings can also be set remotely allowing total integration into a computer-controlled experiment or test setup.
