Original Press Release:

NetAudio(TM) Provides High Resilience Audio Transmission over the Internet for In-store Radio and Other Audio Transmission Applications

Chesterfield, UK, 31st October 2005 - Riptree(TM) is pleased to announce the availability of the NetAudio(TM) high resilience internet audio delivery system. With features such as automatic reconnection in the event of loss of power or the loss of the internet connection NetAudio(TM) provides an attractive solution for audio broadcasters who want to ensure that the their audio content arrives at its intended destination. NetAudio(TM) can sustain point to point or multi-point to multi-point connections.

Streaming over the internet is an increasingly popular way of broadcasting audio but the existing technologies have no way of ensuring that the content arrives. For providers of in-store radio or radio stations who want to use the internet for onward transmission to a remote transmitter site this is critical.

Riptree(TM) has applied its experience in the development of satellite television transmission and secure communications for defence projects to produce a system which enables the broadcaster to maintain full end-to-end control of the audio chain from a single location.

NetAudio(TM) is currently deployed on a number of projects for delivering instore audio and is also being tested for use by a radio broadcaster for linking several low power FM transmitters to a central studio.

"NetAudio(TM) is the result of many man years of effort" commented Stuart Gascoyne, Sales and Marketing Director, "We have listened carefully to what our customers want from the system and we have planned a very exciting roadmap for the future".

Riptree will be demonstrating NetAudio(TM) at the Sound Broadcasting and Equipment Show (SBES) at the NEC on 16th/17th November and POPAI DIGITAL.05 show at the New Connaught Rooms in London on 10th November.
