Novatel Wireless Launches Next-Generation Enfora Spider AT Intelligent Asset Management Solutions
SAN DIEGO, -- Novatel Wireless, Inc. (Nasdaq: NVTL), a leading provider of intelligent wireless networking solutions, today announces the next-generation of Enfora's Spider® AT asset tag family of products. Enfora was recently acquired by Novatel Wireless and is now introducing the next-generation of the Spider AT Intelligent Asset Management Solutions designed to manage, monitor and track high-value enterprise assets. The new Spider AT 3000 & 4000 series of products has been designed to address the need to wirelessly connect remote, un-tethered assets that are non-powered or only have access to power on an occasional basis.

The Spider 3010 is aimed at recovery applications and provides the capability to track assets through frequent position reporting while still optimizing battery life. The Spider 4000 provides the capability to tie into an external power source, when available, and maintain long life on its internal battery pack. As with other Spider AT products, the Spider 3000 and 4000 series are able to retrieve critical information about assets based on user-defined alerts, specific events or geo-fences. The Spider AT 3000 is IP68 rated and a version has been ATEX certified for intrinsic safety environments.
Configured to work seamlessly with the Spider AT product family, the N4A CMS(TM) platform provides a user-friendly environment to directly connect, manage and configure wireless devices from existing enterprise applications. Users are provided with a detailed view of their mobile assets, enabling proactive management and systematic upgrades when needed. The CMS software supports browser-based administration, enterprise standards-based interfaces and firmware-over-the-air (FOTA) support. The Spider AT product and CMS platform bring together the key hardware and software elements required to enhance the rapid deployment of business applications while providing the tie-in to existing IT infrastructure.
