New Way to Hang Your Ultra-Thin TV: 1st Ultra-Slim Articulating Wall Mount for View-Anywhere Positioning
Latest Addition to Peerless Slimline(R) Series Tilts, Swivels & Extends from 1" to 28.9"
LAS VEGAS -- Until now, there was no way to hang your svelte new ultra-thin flat panel TV closer to the wall than 3.5" if you needed the option to tilt, swivel or extend the screen to accommodate your room setup. Peerless Industries' new SlimlineŽ Ultra-Slim Articulating Wall Arm Mounts shrink that gap to just 1", holding the TV nearly flush to the wall for a space-saving designer look while allowing the screen to be positioned for full visibility wherever viewers are sitting.
The new mounts are available immediately in two models: the SlimlineŽ SLAMU for 32" to 46" ultra-thin TVs up to 60 pounds (MSRP $399), and the SlimlineŽ SLALU for 37" to 55" ultra-thin TVs up to 100 pounds (MSRP $499). They will be on display at Booth # 11440 in the Central Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center at the 2010 International CES show running January 7-10.
Ultra-Slim & Ultra-Adjustable
The new SlimlineŽ products - the first articulating wall mounts specifically designed for ultra-thin TVs - are intended for environments where the TV is installed in a less-than-ideal viewing position because of room shape or configuration as well as where the TV needs to be seen from adjacent rooms.
When retracted, the articulating arm holds the TV a fingernail's width from the wall, all but hiding the mounting mechanism. When extended, it allows even the largest ultra-thin screens to tilt as much as 15 degrees with one touch, pivot a full 90 degrees left or right, slide 1-1/2" side to side, and pull out as much as 28.9". That adjustability is equivalent to other articulating mounts on the market even with the SlimlineŽ's thinner frame, thanks to advanced engineering and extra-strength cast aluminum construction.
Both units feature easy installation with no more than four screws into the wall. They expand Peerless' SlimlineŽ family of the market's slimmest wall mounts for today's ultra-thin TVs, which also include flat and tilt mounts with MSRPs from $129 to $299.
