Storage Networking World, Dallas - October 17 2007 BridgeHead Software is announcing a new intelligent data migration product targeted to help storage resellers create easy-to-configure, entry level archiving solutions for departmental IT users and small to medium sized businesses.
The company's new HT FileStore Appliance offering can be easily integrated with the new generation of self-managing archiving devices or "archive appliances." HT FileStore Appliance can be pre-configured by resellers or directed by the end-user to scan primary storage attached to systems around the network, intelligently selecting data for long-term and secure data retention which it automatically migrates to the user's archive appliance of choice.
Bridgehead's HT FileStore Appliance will be released with expected vendor-certified interoperability for a variety of popular archive appliance systems.
