ASR Series Anti-surge Axial Leaded Resistors Adds Two Watt Power Rating
RALEIGH, NC - Stackpole announced the addition of a mini 2 watt power rating to its ASR series of axial leaded anti-surge resistors. The ASRM2 is the same size as the ASR1, has the same working voltage rating of 4KV and overload voltage rating of 5KV, yet is rated for 2 watts of continuous power. The ASR series is designed to handle high voltage pulses of up to 10KV depending on size and resistance value, for thousands of pulse events. The ASR has a flameproof coating per UL94 V-0 and is RoHS compliant.
The ASR / ASRM is ideal as a surge resistor for many types of power supplies, CRT's and other types of displays, small motor controls, security systems, industrial automation and controls, snubbers, power supply primary side discharge resistor, LED lighting. This series is also well suited for high voltage applications including medical applications, plasma cutters, welding equipment, personal protection devices, power and phone distribution protection, and instrumentation.
