Anti-Roll System for Leica Cryostats
Leica Microsystems is pleased to announce the availability of an innovative new anti-roll system for Leica cryostats. The new anti-roll system is an efficient and easy solution for cryomicrotomy. The anti-roll system consists of two components, a reusable metal frame and a glass insert. All four edges of the new glass insert can be used. The glass edges are manufactured using a special procedure to make the edges more durable. The back of the metal frame is equipped with spacers to ensure optimum distance to the knife holder for high quality sectioning without manual adjustments. Effective immediately, all Leica cryostats are equipped with a new, high quality glass anti-roll system for Leica CE disposable blade knifeholders and Leica CN steel knifeholders. In addition, customers with existing Leica CE and CN cryostat knifeholders, manufactured from 1996 to today, can easily upgrade their cryostats to the new system.
