December 29, 2004 - Broadband Anti-Reflection Coatings can be applied to lenses, windows, and CCDs to minimize second surface reflections. Optimized for 450–650 nm, Model 450-650-BBAR provides less than or equal to 0.6% average reflection per surface. Model 400-700-BBAR is optimized for 400–700 nm and provides less than or equal to 0.8% average reflectance. Coatings meet MIL-Spec requirements for humidity, mild abrasion, and tape tests.

New Broadband VIS-NIR Antireflection Coatings

Acton Research Corporation is pleased to introduce new broadband antireflection (BBAR) coating capabilities for the visible and near-infrared regions. Acton Research has designed a variety of antireflection coatings that include two new models:

Model 450-650-BBAR: 450nm – 650nm optimization with
Model 400-700-BBAR: coating optimized for 400nm – 700nm and providing
Acton also has BBAR designs that cover the 700-900nm region with similar properties.

BBAR coatings can be applied to lenses, windows, CCDs, and to reduce second surface reflections. Substrates typically coated include BK7, Fused Silica, and a variety of filter glasses. These coatings are durable and stable, for OEM applications and meet MIL-Spec requirements for humidity, mild abrasion, and tape tests. These new VIS-NIR designs are added to Acton’s existing VUV-UV wavelength coating capabilities. Contact Acton Research at 978.263.3584, email mail@acton-research.com with your requirements or visit www.acton-research.com.

Acton Research Corporation manufactures and distributes across a broad spectral, geographic and market range. Acton’s optical components and coatings have been used in applications ranging from excimer laser eye correction (LASIK) and DUV lithography to analytical and biomedical instrumentation. Acton instrumentation includes monochromators, spectrographs and complete spectroscopy systems used worldwide for industrial OEM and research applications.
