Designed to ease integration for devices requiring multiple read-points, GAO733001, MXH and MXU antenna multiplexers feature either host or reader module for any of 8 antennas to be explicitly addressed using 3 GPIO pins. Multiplexers can be added for increase in number of antennas to allow module to support beyond 8 presenting scalable solution.

MXH and MXU Antenna Multiplexer from GAO

Toronto, Canada - GAO RFID Inc. (www.GAORFID.com) has released of the MXH and MXU antenna multiplexers (GAO733001) designed to ease integration efforts for devices requiring multiple read-points. Digital control of the multiplexer is accomplished by either the host or reader module that allows any of the eight antennas to be explicitly addressed using three GPIO pins.
Both the MXH and MXU can be equipped with 4 or 8 antenna ports depending on the application requirements. The antenna multiplexers boast low infrastructure costs by using the multiplexers in order to minimize the number of readers required to support multiple read-points. Additional multiplexers can be added to increase the number of antennas so that a module can support beyond eight presenting a scalable solution.
