July 16, 2002 - Surface-mount patch antenna elements feature frequency range of 500 MHz to 6 GHz, allowing them to be used in mobile, portable, and handheld applications. Impedance is 50 Ohms. Units are temperature stable with low return loss and low frequency drift vs temperature. Sizes include: 13 x 13 x 3 mm, 18 x 18 x 4 mm, 25 x 25 x 4 mm, 27 x 27 x 6 mm, 37 x 37 x 4 mm, 50 x 50 x 3 mm, and 16 mm dia. x 6 mm.

New Sizes and Expanded Frequency Ranges for Spectrum Control's Patch Antenna Elements

Fairview, PA - June 24, 2002 --- Spectrum Control now offers its surface-mount patch antenna elements with an extended frequency range of 500 MHz to 6 GHz and a greater number of sizes. This extended frequency range allows these components to be used in numerous mobile, portable and handheld applications. Spectrum Control antenna elements are optimized for ground plane, making them ideal for sensitive electronic devices where maximizing performance is essential. These elements are designed in consideration of customer form factors and specialized
manufacturing processes ensure these elements require little or no tuning when board-placed.

Size options for Spectrum patch antenna elements include: 13mm x 13mm x 3mm, 16mm dia. x 6mm, 18mm x 18mm x 4mm, 25mm x 25mm x 4mm, 27mm x 27mm x 6mm, 37mm x 37mm x 4mm and 50mm x 50mm x 3mm (custom designs and materials are available). Impedance is 50 Ohms. Patch antenna elements from Spectrum Control are temperature stable with a low return loss and low frequency drift vs. temperature. The performance of these elements is verified by range measurements and real-time engineering support is available.

Spectrum Control patch antenna elements are designed for use in numerous telecom applications including portable GPS receivers; Bluetooth; navigation systems; aviation, marine and surveying equipment; and wireless LANs. The company offers high volume production capabilities for its antenna elements, satisfying demand found in these applications.

The Advanced Systems product offering consists of AC/DC power distribution systems and remote management systems designed through the building block concept, allowing for a customized product or system to suit specific requirements.
