April 22, 2002 - Compact solid state Annunciator Target Relay (ATR) illuminates bright LED to indicate Trip event, and sends signals to activate two other devices, such as alarms, LORs, or other relays. Once Trip signal has been detected, ATR will latch on, keeping LED lit until it has been manually reset. Target LED is highly visible even when viewed from extreme angles. It is available in amber, red, green, blue, or white, and is replaceable from front of unit.

SOLID STATE ANNUNCIATOR TARGET RELAY PROVIDES HIGHLY VISIBLE LED INDICATION

New Annunciator Target Relay from Electroswitch Improves Trip Indication with Highly Visible LED, Fast Response Time, Small Panel Footprint, and Standard Three-hole Mounting Configuration

WEYMOUTH, MA - Electroswitch introduces its new Annunciator Target Relay (ATR), a compact, reliable solid state replacement/alternative for electromechanical devices currently used in many utility applications.

Accepting an input signal from a variety of devices, the ATR will perform two basic functions. It will (A) illuminate a bright LED to indicate a Trip event, and (B) send signals to activate up to two other devices within the system. These devices could include alarms, LORs, or other relays. Once a Trip signal has been detected, the ATR will latch on, keeping the LED lit until it has been manually reset.

The target LED is highly visible even when viewed from extreme angles. It is designed for long life (>100,000 hours), available in a variety of colors, and replaceable from the front of the unit. The ATR is dramatically smaller than competitive electromechanical annunciators. As a solid state device, it also has the advantage of an inherently shorter Trip response time than electromechanical designs.

It is shock and vibration resistant, and is less expensive than electromechanical alternatives. Its traditional 3-hole mounting makes installation simple.

The initial offering senses voltage and has an operating range of 37-140 VDC. Trip time can be specified from 0.001 to 0.100 seconds by the customer. Unless specified, a 0.500 second response time is preset. When a trip signal is received, a digital algorithm is used to validate the Trip with high reliability. The ATR's two normally open auxiliary contacts close, each providing up to 2 amps continuous current or 20 amps each for 1 second.

In its Tripped state, the LED remains lit. A non-volatile memory assures the ATR will retain its state even through power outages. It will return to normal only when manually reset.

Customer can specify amber, red, green, blue, or white LEDs to help identify different functions or circuits.

Prices for Quantity 1 start under $300 with delivery 6 weeks ARO.
