Kapsch CarrierCom Introduces the "Automatic Tariff Tester"

VIENNA, January 9/ -

- This New Analysis Tool Helps Carriers Test Specific Tariffs or Tariff Groups and Models Easily and Accurately

Kapsch CarrierCom's Automatic Tariff Tester revolutionizes network operators' processes for introducing new tariffs. The Automatic Tariff Tester automates the time-consuming manual testing process for complex tariff models, thereby reducing time-to-market for introducing new tariffs. The Automatic Tariff Tester offers a flexible testing environment for all tariff parameters including tariff time zones, billing intervals or destination numbers. These elements can be analyzed individually, within a tariff group, or compared to other existing tariff plans offered in the network. Kapsch's Automatic Tariff Tester saves the network operator time, resources and
therefore money. This new analysis tool is being currently launched and has already been successfully implemented at a large mobile network operator in Germany.

"In the fast moving telecommunications market, network operators need to introduce quickly innovative, new tariffs in order to maintain their competitive advantage. Kapsch's Automatic Tariff Tester helps network operators simplify and shorten the current painstaking manual tariff testing process, thus significantly reducing potential revenue leaks. The time-to-market for launching a new tariff can be shortened considerably," explains Kurt Plattner, Member of the Board of Kapsch CarrierCom.

This Kapsch innovation differs significantly from existing tools on the market: The Automatic Tariff Tester verifies the complete tariff structure of a network. Until now billing systems could only analyze individual tariffs. In addition, the individual tariffs can be compared with each other, as well as with the whole pricing model. With the Kapsch Automatic Tariff Tester, data and tariff models can be tested and corrected, before they are implemented in the billing system. Clear and self explanatory reports with detailed information, contribute to reliable information and excellent results. The Kapsch Automatic Tariff Tester works like an external application which analyzes data independently from the operator's current internal structures and processes. In contrast, existing internal tariff testers use the same data structures used for the manual input, thereby failing to detect errors which occurred during the tariff input process.

The Kapsch Automatic Tariff Tester can be used simultaneously by up to 10 users. The combined results of all tests and users are compiled in a Summary (general overview) and Detailed Reports (results of individual executed tests). The test results can also be easily customized further using the the Tariff Tests extensive filter functionality.
