Aluminum Pneumatic Actuator resists wear and corrosion.
April 26, 2007 -
Along with hard-coat anodized, extruded aluminum body, pneumatic actuator features twin rack and pinion design that delivers constant torque output over 500,000 cycles or more. It is matched to operation of Apollo® ball and butterfly valves, but inboard and outboard travel stops facilitate stroke adjustment to any host valve's open or closed positions. Bore finishing minimizes friction and wear, and nickel-plated steel pinions resist internal/external corrosion.

Rugged Aluminum Pneumatic Actuators New Addition to Apollo® Valve Lineup
MATTHEWS, N.C. - Apollo® Valve distributors are now taking orders on the company's newest pneumatic actuator, with an extruded aluminum body and a rugged twin rack and pinion design that delivers constant torque output over 500,000 cycles or more.
The new actuators are perfectly matched to the operation of Apollo ball valves and butterfly valves. They also feature inboard and outboard travel stops for easy stroke adjustment to virtually any host valve's open or closed positions.
The new Apollo-brand actuators are designed for a wide range of applications including industrial, commercial, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, automotive and food and beverage.
Apollo pneumatic actuators are built for long dependable service. The body is hard-coat anodized to resist wear and corrosion. Bore finishing minimizes friction and wear.
Nickel-plated steel pinions resist internal and external corrosion.
Other long-life features include stainless steel assembling screws and die cast aluminum end caps and pistons. Apollo actuators are pre-lubricated at the factory for the life of the assembled unit.
