All-Plastic Solenoid Valve is corrosion-resistant.

Press Release Summary:

Solenoid valve features coil design that rectifies ac current, used to power valve, to dc current. Rated for 100% continuous duty applications, coil allows valve to be powered in opened position indefinitely or cycled continuously from open to closed with no coil damage. Available in sizes for ¼-1 in. pipelines in PVC or CPVC construction with Viton® or EPDM seals, valve design also permits valve to close regardless of differential pressure across it.

Corrosion Resistant Solenoid Valve Features Innovative Coil Design

Hayward's corrosion resistant, all-plastic solenoid valves feature an innovative coil design for superior performance and long service life. The special coil rectifies the AC current, used to power the valve, to DC current. This results in a very low coil operating temperature than would otherwise be possible and permits the coil to be rated for 100% continuous duty applications. This means that the valve can be powered in the opened position indefinitely or it can be cycled, open and closed, continuously with no coil damage. The powerful coil electronics are completely encapsulated in a molded polyester housing, resistant to the harsh, corrosive environments to which these valves are often exposed.

Hayward's all plastic, corrosion resistant solenoid valves also feature a unique design that permits the valve to close regardless of the differential pressure across it. Ordinary solenoid valves often require pressure differentials of up to 25 psi to operate effectively. Designers of systems requiring an instant on/off, corrosion resistant or noncontaminating solenoid valve can now choose a valve that offers much more system design flexibility.

These solenoid valves from Hayward are easy to maintain. Should seal replacement ever become necessary it's a quick and easy process. Seals are contained in a special seal cartridge that is replaceable as a single unit...no more fumbling with small parts and tiny o-rings, just install the one-piece cartridge and the job is done. And to make maintenance even easier the valve has a true union design. This allows the valve body and electronics to be removed from the pipeline without having to break down piping connections.

Hayward all-plastic, corrosion resistant solenoid valves are available in sizes for ¼" to 1" pipelines in PVC or CPVC construction and come with a choice of Viton® or EPDM seals.
