DPS Telecom Releases NetGuardian 216 G3 Remote with New Intuitive Web Interface

FRESNO, Calif., March 20 /- DPS Telecom, a leading developer of network alarm monitoring solutions, announced today the release of the new NetGuardian 216 G3 alarm remote, which includes a new web interface and boasts several time-saving new tools.

The new NetGuardian 216 G3 is an evolution of the G2 model. They both have a compact form factor, 16 discrete alarm inputs, 2 control relays, and industrial-grade durability. Pinouts are the same on the G3, but you also get several new capabilities and more options on the new model.

This new NetGuardian 216 G3 can quadruple the analog inputs of its predecessor. Now that you can choose up to 8 analogs, you can monitor temperature, humidity, battery voltages, fuel levels, and other critical values from a single compact RTU.

"Speaking with our NetGuardian 216 client base, we found that the small form factor and increased capacity were a good fit," said DPS Telecom President Eric Storm. "However, when soliciting ideas for how to improve the 216 G2, we heard that more analogs would make it perfect. So we made sure to include an 8-analog option on the G3 platform."

Unlike its predecessor, the new G3 includes a web browser interface, which offers intuitive monitoring for technicians without extensive training. Web interfaces are a client-favorite tool and have become a standard part of modern DPS remotes. But this new web interface is special, offering blazing-fast speed and a clean new layout. Your techs can easily check alarms and operate controls from any PC on your network.

Menus load very quickly, and alarm statuses update automatically without requiring a page refresh.

New setup wizards will guide you step-by-step through the RTU setup process, so you'll never have to guess your way through. One of these handy wizards makes it easy to configure email, pager, and SNMP notification schedules.

"The new setup wizards in the web interface reduce training and labor requirements for technicians in the field," said Storm. "When you purchase the NetGuardian G3, the new web interface will make your deployment a lot easier and give you better visibility."

Notification schedules allow your NetGuardian to email or page the right technicians at the right times. You'll use this function to make sure the right on-call technicians get notified throughout the week.

DPS Telecom alarm remotes also include free lifetime firmware updates, and now it's easier than ever to install those update. You'll be able to upgrade firmware right from the web interface, adding new features and capabilities at no additional cost.

With the NetGuardian 216 G3, your small and medium remote sites don't have to be a black hole in your network visibility. You can cost-effectively bring them under your comprehensive monitoring umbrella.
