DMP Releases Latest Software for XR100/XR500 Panels

All DMP Panels Now Capable of Providing In Touch(TM) Messaging Features

Springfield, Missouri - Digital Monitoring Products (DMP) has released Version 205 software for its DMP XR100/XR500 Command Processor(TM) Panels. With this upgrade, all DMP panels now have the capability to provide the popular In Touch Messaging Features, already introduced on the XT Series(TM) Panels, that allow users to control their alarm systems via SMS text commands from their cell phone or a browser.

"Users can now interact with the entire line of DMP burglary panels from anywhere they have cell phone service," said Vice President of Sales, Mark NeSmith. "In addition to the current methods DMP provides for users to remotely manage their systems via the E-Pad, Version 205 makes it even easier for them to not only send commands, but to instantly know when there's been an event on their security system. The In Touch features, popular with both residential and commercial end users, provide a new recurring revenue opportunity for system dealers."

DMP panel users already had the ability to receive text and email messages from their alarm system, and could select up to three destinations. With Version 205 software they can also arm and disarm their system, control outputs, retrieve system status, and perform other functions from their cell phone. Each command received by the panel is acknowledged back to the user via return SMS message. The Monthly Limit feature avoids excessive cellular messages, including email sent over cell, avoiding unexpected cellular fees. The Version 205 software also expands name fields such as User Names, Zone Names etc. from 16 characters to 32 characters, with the name length selectable by the Central Station.

In Touch messages are transmitted directly between the panel and cell phone or browser with no external servers. Dealers can offer these much-appreciated services to their customers and realize the benefits of additional recurring revenue. A 463G is required for cellular services, and comes with a SIM card ready for activation with SecureCom Wireless, LLC.

DMP is a privately held independent manufacturer of innovative intrusion, fire, access control, network and cellular communication products that are designed and made in the United States of America. DMP is the recognized leader in alarm communication over data networks, with products that are available through professional electronic security companies.
