Scand Announces Version 1.5 of its Ajax-based Tree Control dhtmlxTree

Minsk, Belarus, April 6, 2007 - Scand LLC, provider of DHTML-based Ajax-enabled UI components, has released a new version of its JavaScript tree view control dhtmlxTree. Besides some feature enhancements, version 1.5 brings greater flexibility and performance advantages to web treeviews.

Up till this release dhtmlxTree already has had all the advanced functionality required for creation of intuitive and full featured navigational trees, including cross-browser compatibility, drag-n-drop, in-place node editing, various progressive techniques for handling of really big trees and ready-to-use solution for server-side integration. Now the tree provides smoother initial rendering, "lock tree" functionality and enables simple drag-n-drop of any HTML element into the tree.

In this new version 1.5 performance of the tree was improved due to significant code optimization. The tree interactivity and responsiveness became even closer to desktop-like experience. More flexibility was added with new events system (previous event system is left for backward compatibility).

With this release dhtmlxTree also introduces extended keyboard navigation and quick search functionality, which allows users to quickly navigate through the tree to the necessary tree node by typing its name.

More information and live demos of dhtmlxTree can be found online at: http://scbr.com/docs/products/dhtmlxTree/
