Featuring 1:1,000 turn-down ratio, SS 20.60 immersion-style sensor incorporates media-resistant sensor tip and modular design that allows for selection of analog, Profibus-DP, or Device-Net interface. Calibration accuracy is 1% of measuring value, and max operating pressure is 230 psig. Compact sensor with attached transformer measures air, nitrogen, CO2, and other gases and can be used in 1-40 in. tubes.

SCHMIDT® Flow Sensor SS 20.60 FB / High-Speed Sensor with 200 m/s ( 39.370 sfpm)
SCHMIDT has brought to market a new generation of the well-proven family of air and gas flow sensors SS 20.60 with very special properties: Measuring range 200 m/s, turn-down ratio 1 to 1000, calibration accuracy 1 % of measuring value, sensor tip with high media resistance, available with analog interface or Profibus-DP or Device-Net interface. The high precision and extreme turn-down ratio could be achieved due to an improved electronic design and the new and unique SCHMIDT pressure wind tunnel. The modular concept allows to select between analog interface or field bus interface. The sensor with filed bus interface delivers ready prepared measuring values like Kg/hr or m3/min and thus disburdens the supervising PLC. Additionally the sensor gives access to its status information and allows the PLC to inform the user about defects of the sensor. Despite of the enhanced electronic and additional connectors the size of the sensor remained very compact and makes this sensor to one of the most compact flow sensor on the market. The new sensor is available from now on.

compressed-air consumption measurements, volume flow measurements in nitrogen or other passivation gases, volume flow measurements in process gases, volume flow measurements in test benches, mass-flow control in combustion processes, flow measurements of air injection nozzles, air velocity measurements in dryers or sprayers.
