October 11, 2005 - Stamped from copper alloy or aluminum, LP302 universal air-terminal bases mount horizontally or vertically to provide lightning-protection installer with one product for adhesive or screw-down applications. Stampings' spring-like property keeps cable under pressure, while protrusions on bases prevent loosening and optimize cable-pullout strength. Bases, suitable for use with Class I up to 4/0 cable sizes, have cutout design that allows air terminal to be adjusted vertically.

ERITECH® Universal Air-Terminal Bases Mean Fewer Parts are Needed

The LP302 universal air-terminal bases provide the lightning-protection installer with one product for either adhesive or screw-down applications. These new stamped bases - part of the ERITECH® System 2000 line from ERICO® - can mount either horizontally or vertically. The bases are stamped from either high-quality copper alloy or aluminum, resulting in high-strength products with improved corrosion resistance. The stampings' spring-like property keeps the cable under pressure and ensures reliable connections over an extended period of time. Well-defined protrusions on the bases prevent loosening and ensure high cable-pullout strength.

The unique cutout design of the LP302 bases allows the air terminal to be adjusted vertically, making the part applicable for any roof type. This also eliminates the need for swivel adaptors.

The ERITECH stamped bases meet the requirements of UL®96 for both Class I and II applications. Products exceed the strength and pull-out requirements of this standard. The bases are suitable for use with Class I up to 4/0 cable sizes.

The ERITECH System 2000 from ERICO includes air terminals, downconductors and fittings that meet National and International Standards such as Australian AS1768, British BS6651, Singaporean CP33, European IEC and USA NFPA® 780. ERITECH System 2000 components are based on the conventional design principles of rolling sphere, cone of protection and mesh method.
