Industrial Hygienists Demanded Higher Back Pressure Capability

Newly Released Gilian® 5000: High Back Pressure Air Sampling Pump

CLEARWATER, FL - Industrial Hygienists and Safety Professionals are demanding higher back pressure capability from personal air sampling pumps. Sampling requirements specified by NIOSH and CEN as well as specialized industry specific applications require the higher back pressure capability to keep sampling pumps from faulting out during sampling.

Sensidyne has introduced the Gilian® 5000 personal air sampling pump for monitoring worker exposure to hazardous gases, vapors and particulates at flow rates from 20 to 5000 cc per minute. Noteworthy about the Gilian® 5000 is the pumps ability to provide constant flow control up to 70" H20 back pressure at 1LPM! Higher back pressure capability enables the completion of specialized sampling applications where competitor's pumps fault and result in unsuccessful samples and wasted time.

Making the Gilian® 5000 one of the most user-friendly pumps available, Sensidyne has included an intuitive four-button design with lock-out and memory-free NiMH battery. And preserving the Gilian® reputation, ruggedness and durability were not sacrificed in the effort to gain better performance and more features.

"We have one-upped ourselves," states Ron Roberson, Corporate Industrial Hygienist & Technical Manager for Sensidyne. "The Gilian® 5000 has the highest specified back pressure of any pump we have ever developed and once again demonstrates that Gilian is the industry leading brand of air sampling pumps."

With roots back to the first US commercial personal sampling pump in 1962, Sensidyne has been a long-time industry leader. Sensidyne manufactures and supplies air and gas monitoring solutions for personnel safety and loss prevention. Today Sensidyne is the professionals' choice for Personal Air Sampling Pumps, PID's, Fixed Gas Monitors and Gas Detector Tubes.
