AAF International Announces the PerfectPleat® ULTRA with Merv 8 DuraFlex® Media
LOUISVILLE, KY --- April 2004 --- AAF International manufacturer of AmericanAirFilter® and AAFO products, and a world leader in air filtration, is proud to announce the addition of PerfectPleat ULTRA to its industry-leading PerfectPleat product line.
AAF's PerfectPleat was the first pleated air filter to eliminate the conventional metal support grid and provide a structural resilience that permits the filter to withstand mishandling and maintain its shape and usability. The PerfectPleat ULTRA raises the bar on performance by providing MERV 8 efficiency without the use of an electrostatic charge. This feature is important because the potential for the efficiency of electrostatically charged filters to degrade while in service is well documented.
As an added benefit, and to supplement the higher efficiency of the MERV 8 DuraFlex media, Intersept® antimicrobial has been incorporated into each PerfectPleat ULTRA to preserve the media throughout its service life.
The PerfectPleat ULTRA is available in 1- and 2-inch depths and can be identified by blue media tint on the air-leaving side of the filter. As with all other models of PerfectPleat, the ULTRA offers meticulous pleat spacing and media consistency, which promotes maximum airflow, dust holding, and performance.
