Air Filter / Plenum Combos Direct Air and Reduce Dust Using One Simple Design
When an application requires custom-designed air filters with perfectly matched plenums, Universal Air Filter (www.uaf.com) offers the answer for industrial machinery applications.
These aluminum plenums direct the air and concentrate it on the exact components that need maximum cooling inside the enclosure. Combined with the properly-designed filter, design engineers can create the optimum design to maximize airflow and lower air resistance to extend the life and dependability of vital electronic and/or electrical components.
The inventive plenums can be designed and manufactured to almost any shape, size or other design requirements. Decorative finishes, such as epoxy powder coating can be specified to match enclosure colors. Chromate or irridite finishes are available for corrosion protection.
Used as part of many UAF Air Filter/Plenum Combinations is the environmentally-engineered line of Quadrafoam and Quadrafoam II filter media that offers flame, fungus and corrosion resistance. This combination will meet stringent flame safety requirements of UL 94 with a zero fungus growth rating. Metal components can be treated with special chromate or irridite finishes for corrosion protection.
Quadrafoam and Quadrafoam II are rated UL 94 HF-1, cleanable and reusable, and available in black, gray or green colors. Both feature deep loading, increased dust holding capacity and low air resistance. Quadrafoam II is ideal for prolonged exposure to high temperature, high moisture environments, and other harmful elements. Products with Quadrafoam II air filters have been environmentally tested to withstand dust intrusion and wind driven rain.
