Larson Electronics Announces Release of Adjustable Telescoping Boiler Light

Larson Electronics announced today the release of a high power boiler inspection light designed to provide the versatility of an adjustable light tower with high power metal halide illumination. Featuring a foldable and extendable tower assembly and a wheeled support base, the WALBL-1000WMH Boiler Light is ideal for boiler inspection activities as well as general work area illumination.

The Larson Electronics WALBL-1000WMH boiler light produces  110,000 lumens of light output and features a foldable light boom fitted to a wheeled base to provide high mobility as well as high power light output. This boiler inspection light operates similarly to standard light towers, but features an adjustable light boom which can be folded over at an angle to allow positioning the lamp assembly through standard boiler access doors. The light boom is extendable and can be lengthened or shortened to provide added maneuverability and is fitted with an added drop down support leg to improve stability when fully extended. The main boom and base assembly is constructed of heavy duty steel for high strength and durability and has been powder coated to provide a tough finish that resists the effects of rust and corrosion. The base is equipped with four solid wheels that have been specially designed to allow rolling over rough surfaces such as floor grates and are fitted with built in wheel locks to hold the system in position once placed. The ballast assembly for the metal halide lamp has been mounted to the base for added stability and features a powder coated steel enclosure for protection and 120 - 277 VAC compatibility with standard voltages. The lamp assembly on this portable tower consists of a single 1,000 watt metal halide lamp producing 110,000 lumens affixed within an adjustable mounting trunnion that provides vertical adjustability. The light fixture is constructed of spun aluminum with a ceramic socket and tempered glass lens for strength and durability. Larson Electronics is a manufacturer and as such offers a variety of optional configurations for this industrial grade floodlight including additional lamps, LED lamps, higher wattage HID bulbs, and safety cable eyelets for maximum tower stability. These inspection lights can serve in an array of applications and are designed to allow operators to not only elevate the lamps for better coverage, but to extend the lamps through standard boiler access doors in order to illuminate the area below which must be serviced.

“Some applications require lighting that can extend horizontally, and the WALBL-1000WMH metal halide lighting system meets that need,” said Rob Bresnahan with LarsonElectronics.com.  “Cleaning larger boiler systems, for example, is an example where operators need to extend the light horizontally through a man way to illuminate the area below.  We designed this portable light system to roll over grated floors and included enough counter balance in the base to keep the light from falling through the man way.”

Larson Electronics produces a full range of industrial and commercial lighting equipment, HID work lights, portable light towers, generator powered light towers, and LED work lights.
