October 4, 2006 - Unifilm® U797A low fogging acrylic transfer adhesive bonds to low surface energy materials and is formulated for gasketing as well as noise, vibration, and harshness reduction applications. Transfer adhesive is 5 mil thick and is supplied with 83 lb natural polycoated release liner. Offering high tack, quick stick and peel strength, adhesive performs over wide temperature range and is resistant to water, humidity, and chemicals.

Low Fogging Transfer Adhesive for Automotive Gasketing and Assembly


Windsor, Connecticut - September 5, 2006.... Scapa Automotive has introduced Unifilm® U797A, a high performance, low fogging acrylic transfer adhesive designed for bonding to low surface energy materials in automotive assembly applications. The adhesive is ideal for lamination to foam for gasketing and NVH reduction.

Unifilm U797A exhibits excellent adhesion to low surface energy materials including plastics, foams and fabrics. Offering extremely high tack, quick stick and peel strength, this transfer adhesive performs well over a wide temperature range and is resistant to water, humidity and chemicals.

U797A is 5 mils thick and is supplied with an 83# natural polycoated release liner. The product is available in various thicknesses and liner formats. It meets the requirements of General Motors GM3622M (Type 1), GM3607M (Type 1), GM9985281-9, Daimler Chrysler DCX MS CC-211, DCX MS CC-240 and Ford WSS-M11P62A automotive specifications.
