Large Email File Attachments are Easy to Send, Zip and Protect With OutDisk for Outlook
New Add-on Product integrates FTP with Outlook
MOORHEAD, Minn., June 26 / / -- Have you ever attached a large file to an email, only to have it bounce back to you because a) the file was too large, b) the file's extension was restricted, or c) your file was just too large for the recipient's mail box?
To address these problems, Encryptomatic llc today announced the availability of OutDisk for Outlook, an add-on file transfer protocol (FTP) application that simplifies the process of sending big email file attachments for Microsoft Outlook 2000/2002/XP/2003 users.
To send attachments with OutDisk, the sender opens a new email message, clicks on the OutDisk email toolbar, selects the files they wish to send, and then clicks the save button to return to the email message.
When the email is sent, OutDisk automatically routes the attached files to the sender's FTP site, and inserts a download link into the email. A simplified file manager allows the user to easily delete old files from their FTP site.
"Many ISPs and email accounts place restrictions on file attachment sizes or types of files that can be sent. OutDisk solves the problem of large email attachments by simplifying the process of uploading via FTP, and inserting a download link into an email," said Darren S. Leno, President, Encryptomatic llc.
The sender may optionally compress the attachments into a standard zip file to save space, or add strong 128 bit AES encryption that is compatible with other popular zip utilities.
OutDisk retails $39.99 for an individual license, with discounts for volume purchases.
For those who do not have an FTP or a web hosting account, Encryptomatic llc is offering 75 GB of disk space and 1.1 TB of monthly transfer, and unlimited accounts for just $9.99 per month, with no long term commitment. Visit http://www.outdisk.net/ for more details.
