TRUE CLIMAPLUS Acoustical Ceiling Panels from USG Interiors Feature a Unique Appearance and Excellent Acoustics
A new ceiling from USG Interiors, Inc. called TRUE(TM) CLIMAPLUS(TM) Acoustical Ceiling Panels offers a unique design option to architects, designers, building owners and construction professionals who desire the precision of metal panels in a concealed suspension system with a fine-textured overlay that provides excellent sound control.
Made of perforated aluminum, the panels are covered with a fine-textured, smooth acoustical facing. This acoustically engineered design fits into slotted suspension tees for minimal reveal, creating a clean and contemporary-looking ceiling that provides a vast, white expanse. The ceiling is ideal for applications ranging from libraries and transportation hubs to hospitality environments, executive offices and conference/lobby areas.
"TRUE ceiling panels have been specially engineered and acoustically tuned to deliver outstanding performance and a clean appearance," said Graeme Gee, USG's specialty ceilings business manager. The ceiling panel facing also supplies exceptional light reflectance (a .90 LR value), which reduces eyestrain, the number of light fixtures needed in a given space and energy consumption.
In addition, the 15-year CLIMAPLUS system warranty ensures that the panels will withstand conditions up to 104 degrees F (40 degrees C)/95 percent relative humidity without visible sag when used with USG's popular DONN® Brand FINELINE® Suspension System. The ceiling panels snap up into the suspension system and provide easy downward accessibility to the plenum.
TRUE ceiling panels are available in white and offered in two sizes: 2- by 2-feet and 2-by 4-feet, which permits a variety of configurations, including herringbone patterns.
The panels are manufactured from 90 percent recycled content, and their high aluminum content makes them a viable candidate for recycling at the conclusion of their product life cycle.
