May 8, 2009 - Able to be connected to any kind of Wiegand reader, portable GAO491018 communicates with server on network using TCP/UDP protocols and can be fit into door access. Programmable control unit enables random operation and supports 50 users, 10 visitors, and 20 time logs with 2K memory capacity. Networkable controller solution has separate control unit and reader for higher security demands and also offers master card for appending/deleting visitor authority.

Wiegand-to-Ethernet Smart Controller from GAO


Toronto, Canada - GAO RFID Inc.'s (www.GAORFID.com) portable and rugged Wiegand-to-Ethernet smart controller (GAO491018) is able to be connected to any kind of Wiegand reader, such as a magnetic stripe reader, RFID reader or fingerprint reader. The smart controller communicates with a server on the network using TCP or UDP protocols and can be easily fit into a door access.

GAO's Wiegand-to-Ethernet controller includes a programmable control unit that enables random operation and supports 50 users, 10 visitors and 20 time logs with 2K memory capacity. This compact networkable access controller has separate control unit and reader for higher security demands and boasts master card for appending or deleting visitor's authority directly from external reader. In addition, it provides settings for length reading and card number checking and two relay outputs for external alarm and electric lock.
