An air-powered saw and track mount assembly for square cutting any diameter pipe, faster than a band saw and with better accuracy than a reciprocating hack saw, is available from ESCO Tool of Medfield, Massachusetts.

The Esco APS-438 Air-powered Saw and WrapTrack makes perfectly square cuts on pipe from 6" to 60" O.D. and up to 4" thick, with ±1/8" accuracy and no heat affected (HAZ) zone. Featuring a stainless steel track that mounts securely around the pipe's circumference and a pipe trolley on which the abrasive saw travels, this combination is faster than a band saw and more accurate than a reciprocating hack saw, claims the firm.

Capable of cutting virtually any material including ash pipe, stainless steel, inconel, and concrete lined pipe, The Esco APS-438 Air-powered Saw and WrapTrack works on all standard pipe sizes and schedules. The saw uses fiberglass reinforced blades from 8" to 12" O.D., or optional carbide tipped blades, and glides around the track on four V-grooved wheels. The Esco APS-438 Air-powered Saw is priced at $4,795.00 and the WrapTrack and pipe trolley are priced from $300.00 to $2,500.00, depending upon size.
