MegaSYS CLIMA Provides Constant Temperature Storage in Industrial Equipment Applications
The MegaSYS(TM) CLIMA vertical automated storage and retrieval system from MegaStar Systems provides industrial equipment applications with high density and easily accessible temperature-controlled storage.
The MegaSYS CLIMA is one of a series of new automated storage and retrieval systems designed by MegaStar to offer dynamic storage capacity in a defined and controlled atmosphere. The MegaSYS CLIMA system offers constant temperature controlled storage for items in temperatures up to 70° C (158° F) for drying and to -20° C (-4° F) for frozen storage. The temperature can be controlled to ± 1° C.
The MegaSYS CLIMA is available in two configurations, the MegaSYS CLIMA Vertical Lift Module (VLM) and the MegaSYS CLIMA vertical carousel. The MegaSYS CLIMA VLM is an enclosed system of vertically arranged trays, an ergonomically designed extraction platform, and computerized controls. The MegaSYS CLIMA VLM can store 550 to 2,000 lb. per tray with a total maximum payload of 88,000 lb. The MegaSYS CLIMA vertical carousel is a system of vertically rotating shelves that move up and down along a tracking guide. Ergonomic design allows items to be delivered at an efficiently positioned work counter within the user's easy reach, minimizing bending, reaching and lifting.
Both of these vertical systems take advantage of unused overhead space to significantly reduce the amount of floor space required for storage when compared with traditional shelving and racks while eliminating inefficient walk and search time for retrieval. Both units can be used in conjunction with lifts, hoists, conveyors, robotic workstations, and AGVs for a fully automated logistics operation.
The MegaSYS CLIMA is equipped with MegaPic Material Management Software (MMS). MegaPic software provides complete inventory control for increased productivity, efficient inventory turns, improved picking accuracy, and added product security. Operators enter or scan a part number or description into the system and have the stored items automatically delivered to them. MegaPic MMS includes basic bar code capabilities, cycle counting, a pick list module, and a kitting module.
