New AOI Software Version with More Convenient Handling and Advanced Fault Detection

Jena; Nuremberg - at the trade fair SMT/Hybrid/Packaging GOEPEL electronic presents PILOT 5.0, a new version of the inspection software for the AOI systems of the OptiCon family.

Besides the extended functional range in regard to the THT solder joint inspection and the layout independent inspection of pin solder joints, an improved user interface with more convenient operability is now available. The user interface of the new software enables the operator to generate test programs intuitively and extremely fast.

Additionally, the version PILOT 5.0 allows the selection of the respective quality class for an IPC compliant inspection of the components' position tolerances. All parameters are automatically adapted to the respective class by the system, which facilitates the adaptation of the test programs to the quality standard considerably. Furthermore, the AOI software version PILOT 5.0 is equipped with features like the reference database for documented fault detection with optimised false call rate.

PILOT 5.0 runs on all AOI systems of the OptiCon family, from the SmartLine to the "Best in Test Award 2009" winner TurboLine.
