Offering EMI performance to EN55022, Class B, Series EFM30 and EFM30/M accept universal input from 90-264 Vac. Eleven models provide output power of 30 W with single, dual, and triple outputs from 5-48 Vdc. Ultra-miniature, open-frame switching power supplies include power-good LED indicator, output adjustment potentiometer, and internal input filtering, as well as overvoltage and short circuit protection. Units operate from -10 to 50°C without forced cooling or output power derating.

Astrodyne Announces Medical and Industrial Grade Open-Frame AC/DC Switching Supplies With Improved EMC Performance
EMI Performance to EN55022, Class B
MANSFIELD, Mass., August 5, 2008 -Astrodyne Corporation has expanded its popular EFM Series of ultra-miniature open frame modular switching power supplies for EMC noise compliance to EN55022, Class B. Designed for both medical (EFM30/M) instrumentation, and commercial grade (EFM30) industrial control and telecommunication systems, this new series of AC/DC switching power supplies is designed to meet the power and EMC noise performance requirements of a wide range of applications.
The new EFM30 and EFM30/M Series provide an economical power solution and are pinout and size compatible with more costly encapsulated modules. All models accept universal input from 90-264VAC while 11 models provide output power of 30 Watts with single, dual and triple outputs from 5VDC to 48VDC. The EFM Series features an integral power-good LED indicator and output adjustment potentiometer and will operate over the ambient temperature range of -10 to 50°C without forced cooling or output power derating.
All models contain overvoltage and short circuit protection circuitry, and internal input filtering. The EFM30/M Series is fully approved to UL/EN60601-1 medical safety specifications, while The EFM30 Series is fully approved to UL/EN60950-1 commercial industrial specifications. The unit's space-saving dimensions are as small as 3.41"L X 2.36"W X 0.93"H. All models are RoHS 2002/95/EC compliant are designed for PCB plug-in mounting. Prices start at $30 and $35 in OEM quantities for the commercial and medical versions, respectively. Delivery is Stock to 6 weeks ARO.
