November 2, 2009 - Composed of flexible sensor and electronic module, MiniFlex(TM) MF 300-6-2-10 and MF 3000-10-2-1 have mV output proportional to current measured for direct readings on DMMs, data loggers, oscilloscopes, and power or harmonic meters. Units are insensitive to DC currents and only AC component of signal is measured. Available in 6 and 10 in. lengths, sensors are insulated for 1,000 V CAT III; 600 V CAT IV. Electronic module provides Off-Low Range-High Range selections with measurements from 0.5-3,000 A.

AEMC® Introduces the MiniFlex(TM) AC Current Measurement Probe Line Model MF 300-6-2-10 and MF 3000-10-2-1


The MiniFlex(TM) is a compact flexible AC current transformer composed of a flexible sensor and an electronic module. The flexible sensor permits measurements on conductors where standard clamp-on probes could not be used. In particular, it can be installed in confined spaces, places where access is difficult, or even wrapped around irregular shapes.

The MiniFlex(TM) is lightweight. It does not use magnetic cores like standard transformers. The transformation principle is based on an air core. It presents virtually no load to the system under test, has a low phase shift, excellent frequency response, and cannot be damaged by overloads. The sensor assembly is insulated for 1000V CAT III; 600V CAT IV. The MiniFlex(TM) meets EN 61010 and is CE marked.

The MiniFlex(TM) has an mV output proportional to the current measured for direct readings on DMMs, data loggers, oscilloscopes, and power or harmonic meters. TRMS measurements are taken when connected to a TRMS meter. The MiniFlex(TM) is insensitive to DC currents and only the AC component of the measured signal is measured.

The flexible sensor is available in lengths of 6" and 10". The battery powered electronic module provides for OFF-LOW RANGE-HIGH RANGE selections with measurements from as low as 0.5A up to a high of 3000A, model dependent.
