Mitutoyo's SV-2000 S2 Surftest Surface Roundness Testing System with Touch-screen for Rapid and Easy-to-Operate Surface Analysis
(Aurora, IL) Mitutoyo introduces the easy-to-operate 12-inch color touch-screen surface roughness measuring system with its one-button efficiency. The screen also features large, easy to understand icons for simple setup. The SV-2000 can store an almost unlimited number of part programs and with its "12 quick-load" feature can quickly access the most frequently used routines.
For contour as well as roughness measuring, the SV-2000 is equipped with other functions such as: straightness compensation, which improves the linear accuracy of the X-axis, circular compensation for the vertical movement of the stylus and stylus-tip radius compensation function. With ceramic used as the X-axis drive unit guide, no lubrication is required. High accuracy glass scales are built in on the X and Y-axes to ensure high accuracy positioning (X-axis resolution: 2.0 micro-inch, Y-axis resolution: 40.0 micro-inch). Along with a large measuring range of almost 0.1 inches, these features make the SV-2000 suitable for micro-contouring with the optional FormPak®-SV software. Additionally, Mitutoyo SurfPak® software allows flexibility in report layout. This gives the operator the ability to printout documentation with a personal touch. A large selection of surface roughness parameters conforming to the world's major standards (ISO/ANSI/DIN/JIS) is provided.
The SV base measures 17.7" X 24.3" with a column height of 33". It comes in a manual or power-operated vertical adjustment of 11.8". Stylus travel range is 2" with a linearity of travel of 12 micro-inch per 2 inches. Stylus positioning can be adjusted with a joystick. The model SV-2000 is available with auto-leveling and a three-axis adjustment table.
There are nine models in this new family of Surftest surface roughness measuring systems from the basic portable to the fully automatic laboratory model. All are available with the 12" touch screen or a standard PC.
