May 9, 2002 - D505 system consists of two 18 mm detectors (distance 66 ft, 0.250 in. misalignment), display unit, cabling, measuring tape, manual, and carrying case. Machine Train Program enables user to align 2 to 5 machines in a row. System includes Thermal Growth program and RefLock(TM) function, that provides alignment in bolt bound situations, plus all standard upgradeable laser alignment features, such as inclinometers, softfoot, flatness, and PC downloads.

Mr. Shims New Shaft Alignment System Covers All Alignment Contingencies
Mr. Shims has added a number of new programs to its popular alignment system that increase capabilities measurably.
The new D505 system incorporates a Machine Train Program enabling
the user to align 2 to 5 machines in a row, a program for Thermal Growth and a RefLock(TM) function that provides alignment in bolt bound situations, and where a motor cannot be lowered. It is possible to lock any two feet on stationary
or moveable sides for accurate alignment.
The new system also includes all the standard upgradeable laser alignment features including Inclinometers, memory, programs for shaft alignment, softfoot, vertical pumps, flatness, and PC downloads using Windows.
