Parts Washing, Drying Combined In Compact, Computer-Controlled System From Almco

ALBERT LEA, Minnesota (April 27, 2002) -- A computer-controlled parts-cleaning system that combines washing and drying components with liquid filtration equipment in minimal floor space is offered by ALMCO, Inc., for maximum efficiency and labor savings.

Designed for an individual customer and now in the manufacturer's broad line of cleaning equipment, the aqueous cleaning system features a 24-inch-wide roller conveyor that carries single parts or several on a rack. They enter a rotary washer featuring stainless steel components, where they rotate at variable speed on a worktable with adjustable, high-pressure spray nozzles at top, sides and bottom.

The parts then continue automatically on the conveyor to a heated dryer where all moisture is removed. At a preset time, they continue to a station for removal from the system - the only manual operation in the entire cleaning process.

Filtration of the cleaning fluid is provided by an ALMCO cyclonic system that removes particles down to 5 microns, and tramp oils that produce bacteria and rancidity. When the wash
solution is clean, it is returned to the system for re-use in a process that improves part quality while reducing maintenance and disposal costs.

At the beginning of the cleaning process, the number of the part to be cleaned is identified to the computer, whose pre-programming of process parameters accommodates the job.

For further information about this and other parts-cleaning systems, contact ALMCO, Inc. 507 West Front Street, Albert Lea, Minnesota 56007, phone 1-800-521-2740, or visit the company on the Internet at www.almcoinc.com. ALMCO is a leading manufacturer and international marketer of parts cleaning, metal deburring, finishing and liquid filtration equipment and systems, which are sold through a network of independent distributors, sales representatives and ALMCO region managers.
