Frankfort, KY (March 31, 2001)-American Bulk Containers' Folding Corrugated Steel Containers provide reduced freight costs (2.3:1 ratio) and reliable, virtually maintenance-free storage of an array of products weighing up to 4,000 pounds.
Folding corrugated steel containers offer storage space savings when collapsed and the reliability that plastic collapsibles cannot. Since they are made from steel, they can withstand twice the weight capacity of their plastic counterparts.
Designed to work in unison with plastic collapsibles as end users convert to American Bulk Containers, these durable containers match the most common container footprints in the industry. Standard models have a powder coat finish and are available in the following sizes: 45 x 48 x 33 inches and 48 x 63 x 34 inches.
These durable containers can integrate the movement of heavy loads from location to location via truck or rail. Hinged, half-drop access doors on either side of a container provide easy access for loading and unloading.
Folding corrugated steel containers can be configured with a variety of options, including kanban holders, bar-code plates, conveyor skid rails, fork stirrups or sleeves, and custom sizes and colors.
