Hernon Manufacturing, Inc. Introduces Fusionbond Adhesive - Creates Bonds Stronger Than Steel
An Easy-To-Use, High-Strength Adhesive Solution for Maintenance and Production Applications
Orlando, FL March 26, 2002: Hernon Manufacturing has introduced seven grades of Fusionbond(TM) that creates bonds stronger than steel. Fusionbond(TM) is a two-component, methacrylates adhesive that is specially formulated to bond diverse substrates such as ABS, Nylon, PVC, Gel Coats, PBT blends, Steel, Teflon, and more. Overlap shear strength ranges from 950 psi on polycarbonate substrates to 5000 psi on abraded steel coupons. According to tests conditions as described in ASTM D2094, Fusionbond(TM) features tensile strength greater than 4000 psi.
Fusionbond(TM) is available in an easy to dispense dual-50 milliliter package complete with a static mixer to take the guesswork out of mixing the adhesive. The user simply removes the cap, inserts a disposable static mixer, applies Fusionbond(TM), and then finishes by reinstalling the cap. The Fusionbond is ready for the next repair. Fusionbond(TM) is also available in dual-400 milliliter cartridges and larger sizes for production applications. Hernon Manufacturing offers a complete line of dispensing solutions to create a turnkey Fusionbond(TM) bonding system.
In addition to strength and versatility, Fusionbond(TM) offers chemical resistance to materials such as kerosene, hydrocarbon oil, mineral spirits, and ethylene glycol. In testing, Fusionbond(TM) maintained integrity in unleaded gasoline for more than 1000 hours.
Formed in 1978, Hernon Manufacturing currently produces more than 5000 products featuring high performance, sealants, and precision dispensing equipment for maintenance and production applications.
