Affordable Bimetal Sawblade Outlasts Carbon Steel 10-Fold

A new bimetal bandsaw blade lasts eight to ten times as long as common milled carbon steel blades for just 40% higher cost. Designed for job shops and tool rooms, the Bahco 3861 Sandflex(R) NF(TM) bimetal blade upgrades carbon steel blade users to bimetal performance for greater bandsaw productivity and less downtime. Bimetal blades withstand cutting heat that destroys the temper of carbon steel blades, but they typically cost three to four times as much. The affordable 3861 blade enables intermittent-cutting operations to boost their profitability when sawing wood, plastics, and metals from foundry metals through alloy steels.

The Bahco 3861 Sandflex NF bimetal blade makes the greater durability, sustained accuracy, and enhanced versatility of bimetal more affordable. It recovers productive sawing time lost to frequent carbon steel blade changes. The bimetal blade has high speed steel teeth beam-welded to a spring steel back. Aggressive hook tooth geometry facilitates easy feeding in a range of materials and workpieces.

The Bahco 3861 Sandflex NF is available in sizes from 1/4 to 1 in. with three to 24 teeth-per-inch pitch.
