Provides Capabilities Never Available Before on Low-cost Atomic Absorption Systems

NEW ORLEANS - The new AAnalyst(TM) 200 Atomic Absorption (AA) system from PerkinElmer Instruments provides a no-compromise approach to AA - from sample introduction to results. With an intuitive touch-screen available in multiple languages and snap-in and snap-out parts for easy user replacement, users can now expect more from AA. The AAnalyst 200 instrument includes many new features never available before on low-cost AA systems, including a fully automated gas box, built-in support for electrodeless discharge lamps, and a double-beam Echelle optical system with solid state detector.

A large, full-color, easy-to-use touch-screen has replaced the confusing keypads and tiny screens common on most AAs. The built-in screen allows users to simply touch to choose instrument options, so virtually no training is required. Since each AAnalyst 200 system is available in many languages, including English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish, users can now work in their language of choice, ensuring ease of operation. The touch-screen also provides an extensive Tools section with options such as a built-in cookbook with recommended conditions for each element.

The AAnalyst 200 system's unique modular design allows for easy maintenance and repair, ensuring maximum uptime. All electronics are located in a single snap-in, snap-out box for easy user-replacement without a service visit. The large sampling compartment allows easy access to change burner heads and nebulizers. The burner system uses a new innovative quick-lock design. The burner glides in and locks into place and all connections are made automatically.

Designed to handle the toughest matrices, the AAnalyst 200 system ensures dependable operation. The entire optical system is sealed in a protective housing to shield it from corrosive environments. The ability to purge the system ensures optimum, performance in difficult environments.
